Dedicated to Protecting Fire Sprinkler Systems

Huguenot Laboratories is a specialty corrosion management company dedicated to preserving both new and existing water based fire sprinkler systems. Our dedication to research and development has positioned Huguenot Laboratories as the industry leader in the development of unique patent pending green technologies to clean and chemically treat water based fire sprinkler systems from generalized and Microbiological Induced Corrosion (MIC).  Huguenot Laboratories MIC Testing (Microbiological Induced Corrosion) offers a comprehensive and detailed analysis of your water quality.  This detailed analysis involves testing for individual strains of bacteria that are know to contribute to corrosion and pinhole leaks in fire sprinkler systems. Bacteria strains such as IRB (Iron Related Bacteria), SLYM (Slime Forming Bacteria), SRB (Sulfate Reducing Bacteria), HAB, (Heterotrophic Aerobic Bacteria), Total Aerobic, Total Anaerobic, and Coliform bacteria are all strains of bacteria that create corrosion problems in fire sprinkler systems. The mineral analysis and A.S.T.M. corrosion testing standards identify mineral losses that contribute to deposit formation. Under deposit formations are the leading cause of pinhole leaks in FPS (Fire Protection Systems).

Our unique treatment programs eliminate the unnecessary replacement of pipes due to corrosion. Our corrosion monitoring programs have documented almost total elimination of corrosion within these systems. Huguenot Laboratories offers a suite of patented chemical feed systems, corrosion management services, and unique treatment programs to protect your capitol investment. Our comprehensive internal corrosion management services are designed to assist you with the prevention, detecting, assessing, monitoring and correction of corrosion conditions in fire protection systems.

Huguenot Laboratories  highly trained engineering staff possess the corrosion mitigation and remediation experience necessary to protect your fire life safety needs. We have over 50 years of service to the fire sprinkler industry.

Does MIC or Corrosion Exist Within Fire Sprinkler Systems? …Are There Initiatives That Protect These Systems?

Fire sprinkler systems are vulnerable to attack from microbiological influenced corrosion (MIC) and corrosion. Owners and managers need to take responsibility to learn about MIC and corrosion within systems. Controlling microbiological growth and eliminating corrosion can save dollars and lives. Many fire sprinkler systems are lost each year because of corrosion. This invasion has destroyed both new and old fire sprinkler systems
